One elite team, two high profile locations

LJ Hooker Greenwith | Golden Grove | Mawson Lakes | Modbury and LJ Hooker Gawler have merged to cement the team as one of the region’s leading real estate agencies.

LJ Hooker Greenwith | Golden Grove | Mawson Lakes | Modbury Managing Director Michael Fenn will acquire ownership of LJ Hooker Gawler effective from 1 September; however, the agency will continue to operate from its current premises as a landmark on the run into town.

Mr Fenn said the opportunity to operate the two agencies came about from succession planning and will further magnify the LJ Hooker brand’s residential sales and property management offerings across the region.

“In planning his retirement, after 37 years at LJ Hooker Gawler, the owner Jim Murray approached me about acquiring the business; as he wanted to find another office to merge with that would continue to service the greater Gawler region to the high standard his clients have grown to love over the years.

“Growth was always on the table, but only if it made sense from a strategic and culture standpoint, and what better opportunity than another LJ Hooker office with a strong, results-driven team like Gawler.

“This acquisition is a fantastic opportunity for our elite teams to service clients in the Greenwith and Gawler areas, with a consistent strategy and accessibility to even more resources and expertise.

“We are really excited to join forces with LJ Hooker Gawler, and the newfound opportunities we’ll be delivering to our customers,” said Mr Fenn.

LJ Hooker State Director Andrew Friebe said the merger is an example of smart succession planning and futureproofing a business.

“LJ Hooker Greenwith | Golden Grove | Mawson Lakes | Modbury acquiring LJ Hooker Gawler is a great example of the enormous opportunity that consolidation can provide to businesses, as well as demonstrating the importance of understanding an evolving market.

“There are considerable benefits of consolidation for real estate agencies such as streamlining resources and tapping into expertise. In the case of succession planning, staying within the brand ensures a smoother transition for not only staff but also customers as the business changes hands.

“Jim Murray has been in the LJ Hooker family for many years, we thank him for his outstanding contribution and wish him the best in his retirement. No doubt the team at LJ Hooker Greenwith | Golden Grove | Mawson Lakes | Modbury will uphold the agency’s reputation among the local community and provide exceptional service to their areas,” concluded Mr Friebe.
